Healing Through Creativity
What is Art Therapy
Art therapy is a recognised form of psychotherapy, provided by qualified art therapists (also called art psychotherapists). It combines creative expression with talking, offering a safe and supportive space to explore thoughts and feelings. Through art-making, art therapy can ease distress, strengthen self-understanding, and nurture self-worth, self-compassion, and a greater sense of agency.
You don’t need to be “good at art” to take part. The focus is not on producing something perfect, but on using the process of creating as a way to express what may feel difficult to put into words.
How I Can Support You
Sessions provide a safe, supportive space to explore your feelings at your own pace. You don’t need to create a finished artwork, and no art experience is required — the focus is on the process, not the product.
There may be times when you want to create in silence, and that’s absolutely welcome. You may also choose not to talk about what you’ve made, but instead stay with the feelings that arise. Sometimes being present in your body is more helpful than moving into an analytical mindset.
Art therapy can help you understand yourself more deeply, take a pause to reset after a stressful day, express difficult emotions with care and support, and reconnect with your creativity and motivation. All you need is a computer and some basic art materials.
Sessions are available in English or Italian. I can also offer support in Spanish, depending on your needs.
I don’t want cost to be a barrier to accessing support. If my fee isn’t feasible for you right now, please feel free to get in touch — we can discuss options together.

Individual sessions give you the opportunity to create art with the presence and support of your art therapist. This is a triangular relationship between you, your art, and me as your therapist. I follow your lead, offering support and reflection. Having someone witness your process and try to understand it can bring a powerful sense of being seen.

Group art therapy sessions can be slightly more structured, depending on the needs of the group. They offer a chance to find connection and community by sharing space with people who have similar experiences. The sense of belonging can be deeply healing. Even just making art alongside others — in a supportive and understanding group — can nurture the soul. Sometimes, the artwork created becomes part of a collective piece, symbolising shared experience and support.

About Me
Hi, I’m Victoria, an HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist. I have an MA in Art Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
I believe in the healing power of creative expression and offer a safe, welcoming space where you can explore feelings that are hard to put into words.
My approach is gentle and non-directive, guided by empathy and curiosity. Together, we’ll use art to connect with your emotions and your body in a way that feels right for you.
I hold an enhanced DBS check and have worked with both children and adults across schools, hospitals, and community settings. I have experience supporting people with a wide range of needs, including anxiety, low self-esteem, autism, and other mental health challenges.
With lived experience of disability, body image challenges, and chronic illness, I understand some of life’s difficulties — while recognising that everyone’s journey is unique. This space is yours, and I’m here to support you as you explore it.
